Haha, after weeks of preparation (i.e. sourcing for new furnitures, furniture acquisition, painting the room and other blah blah).... our matrimony room (*Note: Not house lah) is finally completed! See our new bed and wardrobe! The past few weeks were one of our toughest periods, imagine having to wait for 3 weeks for the new wardrobe and bed-setup to arrive; while we had to race against time to remove the old bed, mirror display + old wardrobe and old TV console. Furthermore, we had to look for additional space within the room to set up the new TV console and glass display set (which we purchased from IKEA). That's our glass display and TV console! The book racks (not in picture) are erected above the glass display. Overall, I found it an extremely fun and meaningful experience for us to see the room transform from a Bachelor's pad to a cosy bedroom! To add a feminine touch to the room, I selected a few soft toys + decorative ornaments .. ok, a numerous no. of them (in fact, hee!) and displayed them on the wooden book racks (also from Ikea!) Putting the happy moments aside, I had to highlight to you how I blew my $22! A month ago, I bought a clock from Raffles City for display in the new room. It came with a silver rim and a white face. Owing to my carelessness, it slipped from my hand and broke into pieces while I was admiring it. Sigh. It was a real pity, but Wei Siang promised me that he will replace it with a new clock. In addition, we also purchased the bright red new bedsheet and quilt cover for use on our wedding day from Aussino! I liked the cartoon couple in their chinese wedding outfit with the 'xi' character printed all over the quilt cover. Yippee! See the empty wall above the bed?? That's for displaying our wedding photo! Our next path forward would be to improvise our toilet... haha but after blewing a bomb on the furnitures, I wonder if we have enough expenses for the toilet setup. Let's hope my bonus for March is sufficient for making miracles (Keeping my finger crossed hee!)
