As the wedding date creeps closer, another phase of wedding preparation awaits us... Gown Selection! Haha, think in one of my earlier blog entries, I had made a strong resolution to lose some weight so that I can 'squeeze' into the beautiful gowns during bridal gown selection this afternoon. Nonetheless, looking at the photographs which I snapped secretly below, you can see that my figure didn't change much at all... Muahaha! Princess Cut Gown - Out!! My Wedding coordinator was a guy by the name of Jimmy, which is rather unique, as I had presumed that most coordinators are ladies. I also felt that it would be easier to interact with female coordinators as they would be in a better position to anticipate our needs (Note: no sexual discrimination ok? Haha!) However, Jimmy turned out to be very experienced, as he was very patient throughout the entire selection session (from 1 p.m. - 4.30 p.m!!). Moreover, he had selected a lot of beautiful gowns, and most of them were able to cover my flaws (e.g. tummy, flabby arms). After going through numerous gowns of varying cuts (Master, Princess, Halter, Cheongsam collars...), we decided to settle for a Halter neck gown as the cut was beautiful and it seems to go very well with the diamond necklace and earring set from Li Hwa which Wei Siang bought. Cool! Somehow, the conventional Master and Princess Gowns did not go well with my figure as the front portion seems to reveal quite a fair bit of flesh. =P The halter cut seems to be able to hide all the flaws, and I like the ways the crystal are being arranged on the gown. One of Halter Neck gown However, the selection for evening gown did not go as well as I had anticipated earlier. I had to choose between striking red, purple, blue and striking pink!! Yikes!!!! Jimmy had to convince me that evening gowns must have such colours to allow the bride to stand out during the dinner march-in. In the end, I settled for a evening gown that made me look like a Princess! It is striking pink colour(yes I know!), but it comes with black silk and the additional can-can makes the whole gown looks very different and outstanding! Something different from the usual sexy evening gown. In any case, as my package allows me to go for MTM for either the evening or wedding gown, so I have a month to decide if I still want to MTM an evening gown... and I have came up with an idea. Probably I will use the princess evening gown for my photo shoot, and MTM a separate evening gown! So my guests can see different gowns in my wedding photos and on the dinner march in! AHAHA! See how lah. For your information, my photoshoot will be held on 23 Dec... 2 days before Christmas! I am really looking forward to it!
