I guess invites through wedding emails are getting popular nowadays; with everyone going online and anything and everything!

Just last month, Wei Siang received an email invite through the channel Evite. One of his secondary school coursemate, Diana invited him to attend her wedding on 29 Sept. Once he rsvped to her email invite, she will be able to capture his acceptance online and send him the invitation card via mail.

Coincidentally, my IA attachment colleague Chris also proposed the same idea to me a couple of days ago. His friend will be getting hitched in Bintan and he used the same channel to send out his wedding invite.

It's definitely a greener approach to conserve the natural resources (Oh no, I am getting too involved in my job to talk about this haha). You see, rather than stick to the conventional method of sending out wedding cards via snail mail, and not expecting the other party to guarantee his or her attendance, might as well go for the method of using email invite. When you know the other party has acknowledged and will turn up on the AD, you then proceed to send out the hard copy without wasting resources and unnecessary costs in printing the cards! So innovative! Wow!

In fact, Wei Siang had thought of the same idea when we decided on the main menu links. He inserted a new module called RSVP - but you can't see it yet cos he has already hidden it. So we will use this channel to send out the email invites and for the invited guests to rsvp through this link too. This will also be a good avenue for your guests to go through the wedding blog and understand the preparatory works right up to the wedding day!

Hehehe, so do watch out for this link. Which will also indicate that my wedding day is fast approaching! Wooopeee!
