Wei Siang had intended to propose right inside Marina Square Shopping Mall, near the Soo Kee Jewellery Shop, but I thwarted his efforts! He brought me to the shopping mall on the pretext of collecting our ring. In fact, he had collected it a couple of days ago and kept me totally in the dark about it. He was getting ready to squat down when I sensed something 'fishy'. I couldn't bear to see him squat and propose amidst the shopping crowd and grabbed his arms before he could say anything!! I was touched when he slipped the ring onto my finger (that is after I dragged him to a quiet corner of the shopping mall). Though it was a foiled attempt on his part but I was totally overwhelmed with his thoughtful gesture. Really sweet of him. =)
