Guess what??

I had to change my actual day wedding date!! *Lightning strikes and thunder looms*

Apparently, I had visited the Singaporebrides website and found that the 2008 'Tong Shu' was released about a month ago. Wanting to reaffirm that my actual day wedding day (i.e. 18 May) was auspicious, I purchased a copy from Populars, and got my in-laws to look through the dates. They were shocked that 18 May was a very 'unlucky' date; as indicated in the Tong Shu. Furthermore, that date was demarcated with a 'black dot', which further confirmed that the date was unsuitable for our wedding. Obviously, Wei Siang received a 'scolding' from his parents; because he had chosen 18 May based on his 'research' online; and he was convinced from reviews that 18 May was a very good date! =p

Nonetheless, we had to scramble like crazy to fix another date with the Hotel; and was shocked to realize that most of the 'hot' dates in 2008 during the period from Mar - June were fully booked. After days of going through the Tong-Shu and calling the hotel coordinator umpteen times, we had to bring forward the wedding date 2 weeks earlier i.e.  3 May 2008.

Though Wei Siang and I were relieved that we were still able to hold our wedding on the same month, somehow there are some changes in the banquet pricing and food list (as we had changed our wedding from Sunday to Saturday). The price of each table has became even more expensive then before! Gosh! But I guess the change was worth it; though we are not very superstitious, but somehow we hope to respect our parents' advice and also just to 'play safe' lah, hee hee!
