I came across this website called LostMyRing.com. It works like those websites that allows people to put online the phone IMEI for the phone that they have lost and allows people who found any mobile phones and IF they want to return, can refer to the list, and contact the person, or post an entry that a phone has been found and wait for the owner to claim it.

Now that I have my own wedding budget, I want to DIY some of my items!! 1st item in my checklist: My own ANG POW BOX!!! About 2 months back, I was at Spotlight with WeiSiang with the aim of helping my colleague Shin Nuo purchase some fabric marker. At one of the racks, I chanced upon some gorgeous silver ribbons and wedding bears which I thought of utilising them for my Ang Pow Box! Previously, I chanced upon a wedding website where a lady actually shared her experience on making her own Ang Pow Box! Somehow, I guess it's not that tough to make an Ang-Pow box ... since I have seen for myself many other beautiful DIYed boxes on the singaporebrides website. Most importantly, the boxes are all done up prettily by the Brides themselves! Here's some of the boxes that I have captured and I think they looked gorgeous! 1) Here's one which I captured from a bride's multiply wedding website: bears with flower ribbon trimmers in a red box:
2) Oriental Style wedding box (extracted from singaporebrides forum)
3) White satin box with wedding bears (extracted from singaporebrides)
4) Pink Angpow Box with wedding bears (extracted from singaporebrides forum)
Hope I can upload my own Ang Pow box next time! Will definitely show everyone my creations! :)

1st step to planning your wedding: Create Your Wedding Budget! You know, I spent the entire weekend fretting and worrying about our wedding finances for the 2nd half of this year... As we complete paying our deposits for the banquet and photoshoot (by Sep I hope), it's time I start to worry about other items, like paying for photographer, videography and many other miscellaneous. That was when I decide to search for wedding budget planners online. Found this link particularly useful: http://www.kissmegoodnight.com/wedding-costs/wedding_budget_breakdown_of_costs.shtml When I started reading their articles, I realized how naive I can be! By right, creating the wedding budget should be the primary issue the moment you decide to get married! Like what they say, the budget is essential because YOU can never be sure what you can afford for each aspect of the wedding if you don't give yourself the limit to the overall spending cost. Here's a sample of the Pie Chart:
Sometimes I really hope to have a memorable and unforgettable wedding experience, yet it comes with a high price *shrug*. After listing down the categories (what needs to be done), I realized there are a couple of items which I might need to forsake. For example, diamond accessories to match my gown, room decoration for solemnisation ceremony, Europe honeymoon trip and so on! (Probably really need to try my luck on 4D and lottery) To be on a realistic note, my mum always tells me the same story: Marriage is for life. Wedding reception is temporal and happens only on 1 day. It is important to note that the wedding ceremony is meant as a celebration for the newly-wedded, not a platform for flaunting or boasting how grand or now much $$ u have plounged into the planning. With this faith, I'm positive that with whatever limited budget WeiSiang and I might possess, we will be able to make 18 May 2008 a beautiful, unforgettable fairy tale wedding.

Just received a tip from my buddy Cai: www.brides.com. According to her, you can simply go to the website, under 'wedding dresses photo gallery', and there are > 20000 images of wedding dresses for you to choose from! I guess it will be very helpful esp. for brides who choose MTM package for their wedding gown and would like their designers to model after their favourite design. Immediately, I zoomed in to those gowns featured by Vera Wang, and was pretty impressed with its variety of designs (silhoutte and neckline). No time to look in depth though. Probably I will work harder and start picking out those designs that I fancy (after repeated reminders and naggings by Cai to stop lazing around) haha. She always comments that the MTM designer always come up with ridiculous designs (like flowers and funny colours) and expects you to accept it =P
